Job Description: 

Our client is looking for an Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with existing and new customers. As the key commercial interface, you will support the engineering and sales processes while leading the customer experience for clients.


  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop new business by prospecting and acquiring new customers in the targeted market segments.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing their inquiries, providing technical expertise, and resolving any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering and sales teams to develop customized solutions for customers, meeting their specific needs and requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate and lead customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations, effectively communicating the value proposition of our client’s products and services.
  • Travel within the UK and internationally, as required, to visit customers and attend industry events or conferences.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Optics, or a related field.
  • Experience and technical knowledge of fibre optic products, components, and systems.
  • Proven track record in account management or sales, preferably within the fibre optics industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively convey them to customers.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and internationally, holding a valid British or EU passport.
