The Role:

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Sales to lead the Measurement & Controls sales department for our prestigious client. This critical role focuses on driving growth within the UK market, capitalizing on the client’s reputation for innovation and reliability in the energy sector. Key routes to market include Contractors, Housing Associations, Developers and Distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Design, develop and deliver business promotional activities across all segments of controls and heat metering.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage the sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. 
  • Management of partner network for complete portfolio including appointment of new partners
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and Product Development teams to ensure the product offerings are aligned with market needs and technological advancements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, informing strategic decisions and product development.
  • Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Represent the company at industry events, enhancing brand visibility and networking with potential clients.


  • Proven track record in sales leadership, ideally within the energy, utilities, or related industrial sectors.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, capable of motivating a diverse team towards achieving sales excellence.
  • Solid understanding of metering solutions, energy management systems, and control technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
