Primary Responsibility:

As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in achieving ambitious client acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This key position involves generating and converting client meetings independently, supported by the Outreach Associates and Partner Managers. Your flexibility extends to prospecting across the country, managing your own diary, and achieving success with the backing of an experienced team and supportive management structure. The primary focus is on engaging new clients on a contract basis, fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships. We seek switched-on and consultative new business hunters motivated by success and an uncapped commission structure.

Methodology and Responsibilities:

  • Book and attend self-generated meetings.
  • Attend additional meetings set by the internal Outreach team.
  • Close new business sales opportunities.
  • Create a referral network with accountants and business introducers.
  • Acquire technical knowledge of services to meet objectives.
  • Assist in the timely and successful resolution of client escalations when necessary.
  • Represent the business at conferences, trade fairs, and networking events.
  • Champion new clients through onboarding and fulfillment processes.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, collaborating with technical teams.

 Ideal Consultant Profile:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Motivated by success and driven by realistic targets.
  • Articulate a company’s services and position them against competitors.
  • Intelligent and astute, capable of reading a room and adapting accordingly.
  • Track record of winning business in a competitive B2B process.
  • Understanding of R&D tax credits, Patent Box & IP advantageous.
  • Demonstrable sales pipeline management discipline.
  • Working experience with CRM systems (MS Dynamics preferred).
  • Good general IT skills.

 Role Objectives:

To be successful in this role, you will be required to:

  • Generate a minimum of £30k of revenue per month.
  • Achieve 4 new client engagements per month.

Deliver 8 self-generated meetings per month
