Are you an experienced specification sales professional looking to inherit an established territory rather than build one from scratch?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly respected manufacturer within the building envelope sector, looking to appoint a Specification Area Sales Manager to cover the North East, East Midlands and parts of East Anglia.

This is a rare opportunity to take over a well established region with longstanding customer relationships, an active pipeline of projects and genuine long term career prospects. The Role

This is a remote, field based role where you’ll be responsible for securing product specifications across refurbishment, retrofit, façade remediation and new build projects.

You’ll work closely with architects, contractors, consultants, housing associations, local authorities and specialist installers, developing opportunities from initial specification through to project completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing and developing an established specification sales territory.

  • Winning new business and securing product specifications.

  • Managing key customer relationships across the region.

  • Delivering technical presentations and CPDs.

  • Supporting customers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Working closely with internal technical and commercial teams.

  • Building relationships with contractors, architects, consultants and installers.

  • Developing opportunities across retrofit, decarbonisation, social housing and new build sectors.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • At least three years’ specification sales experience within the construction industry.

  • A proven background in field sales and business development.

  • Experience working with architects, contractors, consultants or specifiers.

  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop long term customer relationships.

  • The confidence to manage a large geographical territory independently.

Experience within any of the following product sectors would be particularly relevant:

  • External Wall Insulation (EWI)

  • Render Systems

  • Façade Systems

  • Cladding

  • Building Envelope Products

  • Insulation

  • Passive Fire Protection

  • Roofing Systems

  • Waterproofing Systems

  • Construction Chemicals

Candidates from closely related technical construction product sectors with strong specification sales experience are also encouraged to apply.
