Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with strong relationships across Tier 1 Main Contractors?
My client is a well-established UK manufacturer with an excellent reputation for delivering innovative solutions into the commercial construction and fit out sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to help expand their presence across the UK by developing strategic relationships with key contractors and identifying new project opportunities.
This is a relationship driven role where your ability to open doors, build long term partnerships and uncover future projects will be key to your success.
So what’s the Role?
Reporting to the Head of Fit Out Sales, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities with Tier 1 Main Contractors and key stakeholders across the construction industry.
Your focus will be on generating quality meetings, identifying upcoming projects, securing preferred supplier opportunities, and ensuring a healthy pipeline of future business.
What are the Key responsibilities?
- Building relationships with Tier 1 Main Contractors and key decision makers.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Generating and qualifying project opportunities.
- Securing meetings to discuss future projects, preferred supplier agreements and commercial opportunities.
- Obtaining project pipelines and market intelligence.
- Working closely with the internal lead generation team to maximise opportunities.
- Managing your sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Representing the business at client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
- Delivering against agreed sales and business development targets.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience selling into Tier 1 Main Contractors.
- A proven track record in business development within the construction sector.
- Experience generating new business and developing strategic customer relationships.
- A commercially focused approach with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing opportunities through a CRM system.
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative sales team.
