Business Development Manager
London and South East
£45,000 to £50,000 + Uncapped Commission (OTE £75,000+) + Company Vehicle/Mileage
We’re recruiting for an established provider of commercial cleaning services that is looking to add a Business Development Manager to its sales team.
Covering Kent, Essex and London, you’ll be responsible for winning new business across sectors including education, healthcare, commercial offices and leisure. This is a home based role with regular customer visits and approximately two days per month at the company’s head office.
The role combines proactive business development with a large volume of inbound enquiries, giving you the opportunity to develop new accounts while also converting qualified opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and win new business across your territory
- Manage inbound enquiries and convert opportunities into new contracts
- Arrange and attend customer meetings and site surveys
- Produce quotations and proposals
- Negotiate contracts and close new business
- Build relationships with new and existing customers
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth handover of new contracts
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Business Development or field sales role
- Background selling services into commercial customers
- Strong new business and account development experience
- Track record of achieving sales targets and winning high value contracts
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Full UK driving licence
Experience within commercial cleaning or Facilities Management would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates with a strong service sales background from other sectors will also be considered.
Package
- £45,000 to £50,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission, OTE £75,000+
