My client is a well-established and growing manufacturer and supplier of specialist fixing and fastening solutions used throughout the construction industry. With a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and customer service, the company supports customers across the UK and Europe, providing innovative solutions for a wide range of construction applications.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a motivated sales professional who they can invest in, develop, and ultimately train into a successful External Sales Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn from experienced professionals, develop commercial and technical expertise, and progress into a field-based sales role.
Breakdown of The Opportunity:
Initially, you will work closely with the sales and management team, learning the products, customers, and industry while developing your sales skills. As your experience grows, you will be given increasing responsibility with a structured development plan aimed at progressing you into an external sales position.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Managing customer enquiries and quotations
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Supporting the external sales team
- Developing product and industry knowledge
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Delivering excellent customer service throughout the sales process
- Working towards individual and team sales targets

Experience That we need:
- 1-2 years of sales experience (internal sales, telesales, business development, account management, retail sales, or similar)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to develop professionally
- Construction industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential
