Business Development Manager:

Hybrid Role – Newcastle-under-Lyme  + Regional Travel

My client is a rapidly growing specialist within the property preservation and building improvement sector, delivering solutions focused on creating warm, dry and healthy living environments across residential and commercial properties.

Operating across areas including Staffordshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, North Wales and the Midlands, the company has built an excellent reputation for quality, honesty and customer care within the damp proofing, mould remediation, insulation and energy-efficiency markets.

Due to continued growth and expansion into new commercial opportunities, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support the next stage of the company’s development.

The Role:

This is a varied and relationship-led position focused on developing brand presence, building commercial partnerships and creating new opportunities across the construction and property sectors, with a focus of breaking into the commercial market.

The role would suit somebody who enjoys networking, building long-term relationships and representing a growing SME business within the market.

You will work closely with the directors and wider team to help grow the company’s commercial presence across areas including councils, insurance providers, property services and construction-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending networking events and representing the company professionally within the industry
  • Building key commercial relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities
  • Supporting the growth of the company’s social media and brand presence
  • Identifying tender opportunities and commercial projects
  • Creating new connections across the construction and property sectors
  • Managing and developing sales pipelines
  • Supporting wider business growth strategies and ongoing projects
  • Working collaboratively with internal surveyors, office staff and directors

Candidate Requirements:

The successful candidate is likely to come from a business development, account management or commercial sales background within construction, property services, building products or a related sector.

The company is particularly interested in individuals who are confident relationship builders with strong networking abilities and a proactive mindset.
