About the Client:

Our client is a highly respected name in the specialist building materials sector, supplying innovative and high-quality solutions to major contractors and the wider building services market. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and customer service, they continue to expand their presence within the M&E contracting sector nationwide.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key National M&E Contractors, ensuring consistent account growth and profitability.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the building services market.

  • Create and execute detailed account management plans, including forecasting and KPI reporting.

  • Build and maintain strong multi-level relationships within each account — from procurement to senior leadership.

  • Conduct regular client visits, reviews, and presentations to ensure excellent service delivery.

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain engagement to maintain efficient, profitable customer supply.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and account performance to inform commercial strategy.

  • Reactivate dormant accounts and uncover new business potential.

  • Provide accurate reports and insights to senior management on customer activity and market opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in National Account Management or senior sales within the M&E or building services sector.

  • Strong understanding of M&E contractors, frameworks, and national supply chains.

  • Exceptional commercial acumen with strong influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Confident communicator and presenter at senior management level.

  • Skilled in relationship management, pipeline development, and strategic account planning.

  • Strong analytical and IT skills (Excel, Power BI).

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
