Regional Sales Manager, Commercial HVAC
Location: London & South East (Field Based)
Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 Basic + £15,000 Bonus + Car Allowance
Sector: Commercial HVAC, Chillers & Heat Pumps
The Opportunity
An established European manufacturer of commercial heating and cooling equipment is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop its specification business across London and the South East, including Kent and Surrey.
The company provides technically engineered HVAC solutions for commercial buildings, major developments and industrial applications, with a portfolio that includes commercial chillers, high-capacity air source heat pumps and associated heating and cooling equipment.
The region offers considerable scope for further market penetration. The business already has an established UK presence but is looking to strengthen direct engagement with M&E consultants, develop new relationships and secure specifications on projects where its products are not currently being considered.
This opportunity would suit a commercially driven, technically capable salesperson who enjoys developing new consultant relationships and influencing projects from the early design stages, rather than simply responding to incoming enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new and existing relationships with M&E consultants and mechanical engineering practices across London and the South East.
Identify commercial building projects at the design and specification stages, positioning the company’s products for consideration.
Provide technical advice on commercial chillers, air source heat pumps and associated HVAC systems.
Work with consultants to understand project requirements, review technical information and support equipment selection.
Increase specification activity with consulting practices that are not currently engaged with the manufacturer.
Develop opportunities through the specification process, maintaining engagement with consultants, contractors and other decision-makers to support conversion into equipment orders.
Work alongside internal technical colleagues and existing sales partners to maximise market coverage and identify new commercial opportunities.
Take responsibility for regional sales development, pipeline management and achievement of agreed targets.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical HVAC knowledge, consultant-facing sales experience and the ability to develop new business.
We are looking for:
Experience selling commercial HVAC equipment, ideally chillers, commercial air source heat pumps, chilled water systems or comparable technical solutions.
Established relationships with M&E consultants across London and/or the South East.
A strong understanding of specification-led sales within commercial construction and building services.
The confidence to engage with consultants on equipment selection, system applications and technical project requirements.
Evidence of developing new relationships, influencing specifications and converting project opportunities into sales.
The ability to manage a territory independently and develop a structured pipeline of commercial opportunities.
Strong communication skills and the credibility to work with technically experienced engineering professionals.
Candidates from closely related HVAC product backgrounds will be considered where their experience involves genuine technical engagement with consultants rather than predominantly transactional sales.
Package
Basic salary: £50,000 to £70,000, depending on experience.
Performance-related bonus: Approximately £15,000 per annum at target.
Car allowance: Approximately £5,000 to £6,000 per annum.
Additional company benefits.
Opportunity to contribute to the continued development of a manufacturer’s direct UK sales operation.
