Are you an experienced sales leader from the fasteners, fixings, industrial distribution, MRO or engineering consumables sector looking to take the next step in your career?

My client is a leading European distributor of fasteners, fixings, industrial supplies, and inventory management solutions. Following significant growth and continued investment in the UK business, they are now looking to appoint an Inside Sales Manager to lead and develop their Internal Sales team based in Wednesbury.

The Opportunity:

Over the last three years, the business has grown turnover from approximately £4 million to over £7 million and continues to expand. In addition, the business has recently secured three new customer contracts worth approximately £350,000 annually, further strengthening an already successful operation.

As Inside Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for leading a team of six Internal Sales professionals, driving performance, developing talent and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of six Internal Sales professionals
• Drive sales growth, customer retention and profitability across the business
• Monitor team performance and implement strategies to maximise results
• Support pricing, margin management and commercial decision making
• Work closely with external sales, key account management and senior leadership teams
• Develop customer relationships and become involved in strategic accounts when required
• Analyse sales performance and provide accurate forecasting and reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and customer experience
• Support the continued development and progression of team members
 • Monitor competitor activity and market trends

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous sales management or team leadership experience
• Experience managing internal sales, customer service or sales support teams
• Industry experience within fasteners, fixings, industrial distribution, engineering consumables, MRO products or related sectors is essential
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales performance metrics
• Excellent coaching, mentoring and people management skills
• Ability to motivate teams and drive a high-performance culture
 • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
