Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead efforts in expanding their presence within the aerospace market segment, with a primary focus on titanium products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities within the aerospace industry, specifically related to titanium products.
    • Develop comprehensive business strategies and action plans to penetrate new markets, acquire new customers, and expand market share within the aerospace segment.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, including aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and distributors, to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  3. New Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, qualifying leads, and initiating sales conversations with target customers.
    • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to customize solutions and offerings that meet the specific requirements of aerospace clients.
  4. Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:
    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships, alliances, and distribution channels to enhance market penetration and extend reach within the aerospace industry.
    • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, contracts, and terms that are mutually beneficial for all parties involved.
  5. Sales Forecasting and Performance Tracking:
    • Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and targets for the aerospace segment, tracking progress against goals and implementing corrective measures as needed.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations to senior management, providing insights into market trends, sales performance, and future growth opportunities.

Background, Experience, Characteristics and Qualifications of Ideal Candidate: 

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles within the aerospace industry, with a focus on titanium products highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace market dynamics, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
