National Key Account Manager – HVAC/ HVACR

I am currently working with a well established client of mine in the HVAC and HVACR sector, looking for a Key Account Manager who will be responsible for developing and maintaining deep, long-term strategic relationships with the major key accounts. 

The role focuses on delivering customer value, driving sales contribution, and securing market growth through tailored solutions, innovative initiatives, and strategic account planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of each customer’s business and identify commercial opportunities.

  • Managing the Top 20-30 Key Accounts for the company, with a focus into the Retail sector

  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

  • Create bespoke strategic plans covering sales, marketing, and pricing activities to maximize value.

  • Implement and monitor initiatives that deliver measurable revenue growth and contribution.

  • Identify and engage with key influencers and decision-makers within customer organizations.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders internally to strengthen client relationships.

  • Contribute to the formulation of wider sales strategies to capture both short and long-term opportunities.

  • Record and track sales activities within the company CRM system.

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable solutions.

  • Excellent proposal writing, project management, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure while managing priorities effectively.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in managing strategic accounts and customer relationships.

  • Direct experience in customer-facing roles with senior management engagement.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-value customer partnerships.

  • HVAC/ HVAR/ Similar product experience 

  • Experience managing larger Accounts (with a spend of £500K +)

Package

  • Base Salary: £60K – £70k
