Key Account Manager – Surfacing 

Derby (Office-based with UK Travel)
£30,000 – £40,000 + Uncapped Commission + Car/Allowance + Benefits

My client , A leading surfacing and resurfacing company,  is looking for an Key Account Manager to join their growing commercial team.

With over 250 employees and the backing of a major international support, my client delivers bespoke surfacing solutions across multiple sectors including:

  • Highways & Rail

  • Aviation & Defense

  • Education, Healthcare & Leisure

  • Local Authority & Commercial

Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of the business, including pioneering low-carbon surfacing products that reduce CO₂ by up to 90%.

The Role

This is a hybrid position based out of the Derby office, with national travel to meet clients and visit sites. You’ll play a key role in both growing and retaining business by:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of ~100 accounts.

  • Re-engaging dormant accounts and driving new business.

  • Building strong client relationships and becoming the “go-to” person for surfacing solutions.

  • Delivering against KPIs: 15+ new enquiries/projects per month.

  • Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to help shape a high-performing sales team.

What We’re Looking For

We want a genuine sales professional , someone ambitious, resilient, and hungry to make an impact. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales (construction or related sector preferred).

  • Strong account management and new business skills.

  • Confidence in handling the full sales cycle, from initial approach to negotiation and close.

  • Drive, resilience, and the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and get stuck in.
