About the Client:

Our Client is a boutique listed derivatives brokerage, operating in close partnership with a major European equities house. Focused on institutional agency execution, the business is now hiring its first in-house finance lead to support operational maturity and long-term growth.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis

• Prepare and present management reporting packs to joint venture leadership

• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and business planning activities

• Analyse cost drivers and monitor performance against KPIs

• Build and implement robust finance processes and internal controls

• Oversee statutory year-end processes and coordinate external audits

• Collaborate with auditors, advisors, and JV stakeholders

• Drive improvements in financial systems, currently spreadsheet-based

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

• Strong background in management accounting, with exposure to audit

• Hands-on experience producing accounts, budgets, and forecasts

• Clear communicator, confident engaging with senior leadership

• High attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-led approach

• Experience in financial services or brokerage (desirable but not essential)

Benefits

• Base salary of £80,000 – £100,000 depending on experience
