Company Overview
Our client is a mid-tier firm of chartered accountants, business management specialists, and corporate and private client advisers based in London. With over 30 years of expertise and a team of nearly 200 staff, they operate across four specialist divisions and work with clients worldwide.
Around 70% of their client base is within the creative industries, with the remainder in hospitality and other high-profile sectors. Role Overview
This is an opportunity to join the firm’s busy Creative Division as an Assistant Manager, supporting the Partner and Senior Manager in managing a substantial client portfolio. The role has been created following significant client growth and will help bridge the gap between senior and junior team members, ensuring delivery on existing work while supporting team stability.
You’ll be working with a mix of entertainment sector clients, mostly multinationals, and will play a key role in ensuring deadlines are met, client relationships are maintained, and the team remains well-supported—particularly during an upcoming Senior Manager sabbatical.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting, payments, and budgeting for clients within music, entertainment, and related industries.
Prepare year-end accounts, VAT returns, and tax compliance documentation.
Work on tour accounting and prepare show budget vs actual analyses, including settlements and foreign tax considerations.
Act as a first point of contact for clients and advisers, handling queries professionally and promptly.
Support junior staff with workload and development, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to deadlines.
Maintain close communication with the Partner and Senior Manager on workload, priorities, and client matters.

ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience gained in a mid-tier accountancy firm.
Track record in managing client portfolios and meeting multiple deadlines.
Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102/FRS 105, VAT, and multi-currency/tour accounting.
Comfortable working in a client-facing role with high-profile individuals and businesses.
Personable, hard-working, and honest, with excellent organisational skills.
Ideal Qualifications (Not Essential)
Experience in the entertainment sector or working with creative industry clients.
Exposure to leading or mentoring junior staff.
Proficiency with CaseWare, Xero, and QuickBooks Online.

Bupa private health insurance from day one.
5% employer pension contribution (employee 3%).
27 days holiday plus bank holidays, and office closure between Christmas and New Year.
Hybrid working – typically 3–4 days per week in the London office.
A mid-tier environment offering both career progression and the opportunity to work with prestigious creative sector clients.
