About the role
Due to exceptional growth within the group our client is seeking a self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to manage sales growth across the Midlands, through a network of M&E Consultants.
Our client specializes in providing advanced air conditioning solutions tailored to a diverse range of commercial and industrial clients. They offer customized systems that cater to the specific needs of businesses, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. Their clients range from small enterprises to large corporations, all seeking reliable and innovative climate control solutions.
- Engage with clients, including contractors, engineers, architects, and facility managers, to understand their HVAC needs and challenges.
- Provide technical consultation and recommend HVAC solutions tailored to each project, ensuring compatibility with performance, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and detailed proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design and specify appropriate HVAC systems, selecting equipment such as chillers, air handling units, ducting systems, and energy recovery systems.
- Utilize HVAC design tools and software to generate system layouts, equipment sizing, and performance metrics that meet client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (such as ASHRAE, local building codes, etc.).
About the Candidate
- The ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering, with specific expertise in HVAC systems involving industrial scale chillers and heatpumps.
- They should possess strong technical acumen combined with excellent communication skills, enabling them to convey complex concepts to clients with varying levels of technical knowledge
- . Experience in conducting thorough client assessments, developing tailored solutions, and delivering compelling sales presentations is essential.
- The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- A proven track record in sales within the HVAC industry is highly desirable.
Salary / Package + OTE:
Basic up to: £60K
OTE of an additional: £22.5K PA
The package includes a company car or car allowance, and additional benefits such as private healthcare and a pension plan. Specific figures will be provided based on experience and qualifications.
