Role: Specification Sales Manager
Location: Greater London (Ideally Based Within Easy Access to the M25)
About the Company:
My client is a market-leading, carbon-neutral manufacturer of plumbing, heating, and energy efficiency products, backed by a well-established international group. Known for innovation and technical excellence, they partner with engineers, merchants, and major contractors across the UK. Their portfolio includes heat interface units, mixing valves, PRVs, radiator valves, and sealed system components, serving diverse sectors such as commercial buildings, care homes, hospitals, and new build developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new specifications at stage 1 design phase, delivering a holistic hydronics solution using the full product portfolio.
- Manage the full sales cycle: from initial consult and specification through to design presentation, sign-off, and securing the final order.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with M&E consultants, developers, contractors, housing associations, and local authorities.
- Conduct CPD sessions, attend industry events, and proactively generate leads (including Glenigan-driven outreach).
- Position the company as a technical solution provider across heat network and hot water systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong technical ability and confident working across heat networks, district heating, or closely aligned systems.
- Conversant in relevant regulations, including CP1 and HENTAS.
- Proven experience influencing specifications at the design stage.
- Established contacts within the M&E or housing developer/specifier market.
- Self-sufficient, with a consultative and solutions-focused sales approach.
