Role: Business Development Manager – Automation, Servos & Drives
Location: Remote (UK-Wide with National Travel)

My client, a global leader in automation and motion control solutions, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across their range of automation, servo drives, gearboxes, and motion control products. This is a hunter-led position, suited to a self-motivated sales professional passionate about winning contracts and opening doors in both established and emerging industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- New business development focus—identify and convert new customers across the UK.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with OEMs, machine builders, integrators, and industrial end-users.
- Proactively open new markets including data centres, automotive, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
- Work closely with project delivery and technical teams to propose bespoke solutions and close complex contracts.
- Manage territory activity, pipeline forecasting, and CRM reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven hunter mentality with a track record of securing new business in automation, motion control, servos, drives, or gearboxes.
- Strong technical understanding of automation, drives, servos, gearboxes, and motion control systems.
- Experience selling into industrial automation, OEMs, machine builders, and 3PL, with added advantage of exposure to data centres and automotive sectors.
- Confident engaging at all stakeholder levels—from engineering teams to boardroom.
- Resilient, self-driven, and commercially astute.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
