Our client provides innovative Grid Automation products, systems, and services, from design and manufacturing to commissioning and long-term maintenance.
About the Role:
Define and execute the sales strategy for Grid Automation products and solutions in the Southwest of the UK and for National Grid, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
Serve as the key account manager for National Grid, with budget responsibilities for this account.
Achieve order intake targets in adherence to the company’s ethical code.
Develop and nurture strategic customer relationships with key decision-makers to drive customer satisfaction and promote long-term partnerships.
Identify new business opportunities to grow market share in your area of responsibility.
Coordinate and lead tendering activities, ensuring that prices reflect market conditions and target-winning pricing strategies.
Formulate proposal strategies and sales agreements, assisting in customer negotiations and identifying opportunities for new products and services.
Prepare and deliver regular reports with action plans, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans.
Attend trade shows, seminars, and conferences to stay current with industry trends and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and processes, addressing non-conformances in a timely manner.
About the Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college.
Proven experience in sales and/or tendering within the Grid Automation portfolio, with knowledge of protection and control, digital substations, and microgrid controllers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to work effectively across different departments.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to analyse and resolve problems effectively.
Ability to plan, market, and execute programs, demonstrating strong business acumen and leadership.
Experience working within international and matrix organizations.
Able to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
Willingness to travel within the UK.
