My client, a leading water technology company, is seeking a Wastewater Sales Manager to drive sales, marketing, field service, and business development activities in the Southern UK region. This role involves directly meeting and exceeding targets for the Treatment works initiative, managing the entire product lifecycle, and improving customer experience through cross-functional team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Target all Municipal Treatment operational spend and opportunities across Southern UK.
- Achieve sales targets through customer engagement, Value Selling, and Opportunity Management.
- Manage the sales process from initial inquiry to purchase order.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure sales leads are followed up, and quotations and orders are accurately detailed.
- Prepare and assist with sales audits, forecasting, and business performance reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Provide technical and commercial support for customer inquiries, order status, product availability, pricing, and issue resolution.
- Promote and sell Preventative Maintenance Agreements for all Treatment works brands.
- Lead all Treatment AM & S commercial activities in the region to offer customers solutions for the lowest equipment ownership cost.
- Maintain close customer relationships through regular communication, meetings, and site visits.
- Execute system Health Checks within the Treatment installed base, identifying and managing retrofit opportunities.
- Gather Voice of Customer (VOC) insights to identify sales opportunities and business growth.
- Promote new and current products and services to increase Aftermarket sales orders and revenue.
- Provide necessary technical and commercial support with the help of other teams.
- Travel and stay overnight as needed to cover the Treatment works installation base in the region and occasionally other regions.
- Collaborate with other Sales and Marketing teams to map competitive landscape and develop strategies to win back customers and achieve growth.
- Liaise with other branded UK Sales Teams and indirectly manage customer-facing activities.
- Monitor Treatment databases and develop client communication plans for specific site needs.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and required training for personal development and business growth.

Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial sales, field service, business development, or related fields.
- Background in the Industrial, Water, or Wastewater industries is ideal.
- Superior customer service, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of systems troubleshooting and solid service practices.
- Knowledge and experience with Treatment equipment are preferred.
- Ability to conduct technical writing for customer reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM platforms.
