Overview:

Are you experienced in technology tax incentives and seeking better work-life balance? This is an opportunity to work with a well-established consultancy known for delivering large-scale, complex claims across a range of innovation-based tax reliefs. You’ll play a pivotal role in client-facing delivery, technical report preparation, and supporting responses to HMRC enquiries.

The role involves assessing technological innovation across a broad client base to determine eligibility for incentives such as R&D Tax Relief, Patent Box, and Video Games Tax Relief. You will lead interviews with senior technical stakeholders, compile financial data, and produce high-quality technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with senior technical staff to assess eligibility for technology tax reliefs

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and documentation

  • Map financial data to eligible projects with precision

  • Manage client relationships and project delivery from end to end

  • Respond to HMRC enquiries and support successful resolution

  • Support and oversee junior team members where applicable

  • Travel occasionally to client sites across the UK

  • Deliver projects with consistent attention to quality, timelines, and client experience

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in a technical or scientific discipline

  • Strong technical report writing and stakeholder communication skills

  • Project and workload management experience

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word

  • Collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail

  • Experience working with complex, high-value clients and cross-functional teams

  • Confident self-starter with high standards of delivery
