Business Development Manager – North of England
£50K Base + £10K Bonus | Company Car | Hybrid/Remote
A UK-based specialist manufacturer of bespoke fire-rated door sets is looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the North of England as part of a wider succession plan. All products are manufactured in-house and sold directly to clients—primarily subcontractors and specifiers within the education, healthcare, and refurbishment sectors.
The company offers a technically-led, fully bespoke fire door solution with fast lead times and a reputation for quality and compliance.
You’ll join an established and supportive team, taking over from a retiring BDM with a structured handover in place. This role offers flexibility to work remotely, supported by occasional travel to the head office and site visits.
Key Responsibilities:

Drive £1M–£2M in revenue in your first year

Manage 20–30 live projects across multiple stages

Build relationships with contractors, architects, and subcontractors

Deliver technical consultation from enquiry through to order

Cover the North of England region with hybrid/remote flexibility
What We’re Looking For:

Proven sales success in consultative or project-based environments

Ideally from a fire doors, joinery, or related technical background

Commercially driven and highly organised

Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
