My client is a leading supplier of specialist electronic components, IT infrastructure, and system integration solutions. With over 35 years of experience, they serve critical industries, including defence, aerospace, telecoms, industrial, transport, and government sectors. Their portfolio includes embedded computing, IoT connectivity, secure communication solutions, and time synchronization technologies.

Due to continued expansion in key markets, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, develop key accounts, and increase market penetration across digital infrastructure, defence, and secure communication industries.

The Role: Business Development Manager – Electronics & Systems Integration

This role focuses on new business development, account management, and strategic sales of embedded computing, IoT solutions, networking hardware, and secure communications technology. The BDM will identify new sales opportunities, build long-term relationships, and lead consultative sales efforts to key stakeholders in defence, central government, telecoms, and system integrators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand business within electronics, secure communications, and IT infrastructure sectors.
  • Identify and close new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain key customer relationships, engaging with defence organisations, government bodies, and system integrators.
  • Deliver sales presentations, proposals, and technical consultations, tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Support and develop marketing initiatives, including industry events, open days, and “lunch & learn” sessions.
  • Manage key account plans, increasing customer engagement and revenue growth.
  • Track all sales opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

Who We’re Looking For?

Proven B2B sales experience in electronics, IT infrastructure, networking hardware, or secure communication solutions.
 ✔ Existing network in defence, government, or secure telecom sectors is highly desirable.
 ✔ Strong technical understanding of IoT connectivity, embedded computing, or networking components.
 ✔ Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
 ✔ Proactive, self-motivated, and target-driven, with a history of delivering high-value contracts.
