About the Company

My client is a leading specialist in electronic components, test & measurement (T&M) solutions, and high-performance connectivity products. With over 35 years of expertise, they are a trusted supplier to critical industries, including defence, automotive, aerospace, industrial, energy, telecoms, and space sectors.

They are looking for a strategic and technically competent Business Development Manager to drive sales and expand opportunities in their Test & Measurement division, working with a broad portfolio of electronic testing products and calibration services.

This role will focus on growing new business, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and managing key accounts. Additionally, the BDM will hold Product Manager responsibility for RF Shielding, Chamber, and Filter business opportunities across all regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead new business development efforts in the Test & Measurement sector, targeting new and existing clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring continued growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets, leveraging key account management techniques.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new sales leads, managing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
  • Implement and execute sales campaigns in target market sectors.
  • Act as the main point of contact for commercial negotiations, contract reviews, and pricing strategies.
  • Prepare and present proposals, tenders, quotations, and technical sales materials to clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.

What We’re Looking For?

Proven experience in business development and sales within the Test & Measurement sector.
 ✔ Strong technical knowledge of electronic test equipment and calibration services.
 ✔ Ability to manage key accounts and drive new business growth.
 ✔ Experience selling into critical industries such as defence, aerospace, energy, or telecoms.
 ✔ B2B sales experience in a multi-channel or distribution environment.
 ✔ Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
 ✔ Degree educated (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
