About the Client,
Our client is a well-established provider of smart lighting control solutions, specializing in advanced sensor networks and PoE drivers. They are recognized for their innovative approach to smart lighting and sensor networks, with a growing presence in the M&E sector, targeting consultants and contractors in the London area.
Due to expansion, a vacancy has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to help drive sales and develop key business relationships within the London region.
About the role
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in specification sales, preferably within the M&E, lighting, HVAC, or related sectors.
- They should possess strong face-to-face sales experience and have well-established relationships within the M&E industry
- . A self-driven and ambitious professional, the candidate should thrive in a field-based role.
- While previous experience in lighting is preferred, those with backgrounds in smart technology or HVAC will also be considered.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets for lighting controllers in the assigned area.
- Identify new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients, including electrical contractors, architects, lighting designers, and facility managers.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to tailor strategies for gaining market share.

- Strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and understand their specific needs.
- In-depth understanding of lighting control systems, smart building technology, energy management solutions, and integration with other systems.
- Strong ability to close deals, negotiate prices and contracts, and meet sales targets consistently.
- Highly driven with a proactive approach to managing a sales territory, capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies to increase market penetration and drive revenue growth in the assigned region.
