The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Account Manager to join a leading smart metering solutions provider. In this role, you will take ownership of key accounts while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities within the UK market.
Your focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth through effective account management and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Account Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Sales Growth: Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects. Support the development of compelling proposals and sales presentations.
• Client Satisfaction: Conduct regular client reviews, address concerns proactively, and ensure high customer retention.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments within the smart metering sector.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to deliver effective solutions that meet client needs.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales progress in CRM systems, and provide regular updates to senior management.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: At least 3 years of account management or sales experience, ideally in smart metering, energy, utilities, or related sectors.
• Skills: Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Commercially driven with a customer-first approach.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. An understanding of smart metering technologies and energy solutions is advantageous.
• Qualifications: Degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field preferred.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
